Alumnae Annual Wine Tasting – Wines of the World
Date: March 28, 2009

On Saturday, March 28, 2009, over one hundred alums and friends gathered in the Pompeian Room of the Doheny Mansion, to sample wines, partake of hors d’oeuvres, and enjoy each others’ company.  An innovation this year was the addition of “Wine Tasting 101,” a hands-on learning experience for the wine novice.  This feature was such a success that it will be featured again next year.  To see more photos, click here.

Alum Emergency Book Fund

The Alum Book Fund was recently established in response to students growing need for assistance with the rising cost of textbooks. Sometimes students find themselves in financial difficulty after having arranged for tuition payments and other expenses. A grant from the Alum Emergency Book Fund can make all the difference to them.

Any gift you make to this fund will be greatly appreciated. Not only will you be helping the students right now, but you will be sending a message to them that the Alumnae Association cares about them. This is all a part of the Mount’s mission to give back. Our hope is that when the students become alums themselves, they will remember the helping hand we gave them and wish to do the same for the students who come after them.
